The only way we can think to improve upon this authentic recipe is to insist, as the recipe already does, that you rely on a cast-iron pan. There’s nothing, not a thing, that we’d change.

Get everything ready first.
Wax or parchment paper on counter for hot cookies.
In heavy saucepan,
1 stick of butter
1/2 cp milk
6 tbsp unsweetened baking cocoa
2 cps sugar
In a bowl, have
3 cps quick cooking oats,
tsp of vanilla &
scoop of peanut butter
Set timer on 1 & 1/2 minutes
Stir & Bring ingredients in saucepan to boil, once it reaches rolling/bubbling boil, start timer, letting it boil entire time.
When timer beeps, quickly stir in other ingredients and drop desired size on wax paper. Allow to cool until firm enough to pick up & EAT.

I made chocolate chip cookies.
(added to this 1 bcuz I didn’t want to do an entire post on it).
It was more about “I’m still cooking” & yes… I’m on a cookie kick this month !
