Garlic and Brown Sugar Chicken
INGREDIENTS
- 4 boneless and skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1 – 2 tbs water
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Mince garlic and add to brown sugar, along with oil. Then add enough water to a thick glaze consistency. Put the chicken on the sheet pan and season with salt and pepper, then spread 1/2 the garlic and sugar mixture over the chicken. Bake 15 minutes, flip chicken over and spread remaining glaze on chicken, bake additional 15 minutes. I couldn’t resist spooning a little extra juice off pan onto chicken after plating😊
Confession: I don’t know if there’s any purpose to oil added; it was my failed first attempt at making it a glaze 🤭 🤣 then I added a little water…which did work. Now I just don’t want to change that because it turned out so good ☺️ I don’t really believe it’s necessary 🤫 Oh, also, most recipes call for 4 TBS of brown sugar; what can I say? 🥰
I roasted potatoes at same time, tossed first with olive oil, salt, pepper & grated parmesan 🧀
Your blog makes me hungry!
