Yogurt chicken curry dish
well…here’s my Facebook post at the time of marinade.
→I didn’t follow a recipe. I threw into marinade. ..a big scoop of yogurt, half can of coconut milk, few cloves of roasted garlic….I was thinking “hmmm, let’s see…what else?”, at each item. big pinch of salt, tbs garam masala, rosemary, a sprinkle of curry powder, cilantro, peppercorns, some onion. ginger……I didnt have any lemon or lime so I added a touch of orange zest & a little squeeze of the juice. LOL. Sometimes my ideas FAIL! when I do the guessing game. I tried to think of what flavors go together. I know that yogurt & cc milk are used A LOT, along with garlic being in most. But the rest? hmmmm…..I have come to LOVE orange mixed with garlic, onion & peppercorn. ..but …..I don’t know if that flavor coming out of Cuba will mix well with middleeast. I think its going to be either VERY delicious or gross. I’ll certainly let you know!
after that. I baked at 350º for 45-55 minutes
if you ZOOM in on inside of chicken, you can see its crispy on outside but still juicy inside 😀
Evidently, that marinade made chicken stay real moist inside. I knew there had to be a good reason for the worldwide popularity of yogurt &/or coconut milk as marinade.
I’m crying. …
I WILL MAKE THIS AGAIN!
Now, onto the Roast Chicken ♥
it’s all good ♥
