Another easy recipe that tastes great.

Ingredients

2-1/2 cups uncooked Mostaccioli pasta (or similar like penne, ziti, Rigatoni)
1 pound Italian sausage
1 medium sweet onion, diced
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) stewed tomatoes, cut up or crushed
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Grated Parmesan cheese (or other Italian hard cheese like Romano,  Asiago, etc.) for garnish

Directions

Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook the sausage and onion in oil over medium heat until sausage is no longer pink and vegetables are tender. Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings; heat through.
Drain pasta; toss with tomato mixture. Sprinkle with cheese if desired.
