Slow Cooker Pierogi and Sausage in Creamy Cheese Sauce

Slow Cooker Pierogi and Sausage in Creamy Cheese Sauce

Creamy and cheesy, easy and delicious one pot meal with pierogi and sausage or whatever your meat preference is. We prefer hillshire farm’s kielbasa,  but this recipe is very flexible; smoked sausage, ham, turkey or chicken sausage.
Did I say EASY? And TASTY

Ingredients:

3 boxes Cheddar Pierogies – Regular or mini. We wanted the mini but my local market only had regular. Or 1 large bag.
4 cups chicken broth
1 8 oz. package of cream cheese
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1-2 pounds sausage – sliced (or keilbasa ; we always use Hillshire Farms)
salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:

Mix all ingredients in slow cooker/crockpot. I like to add all but pierogi first to mix well and break up cream cheese. Then add pierogi. Cook on high 3-4 hours, or on low for 6-7 hours. *optional – stir carefully a couple times during cooking if you’re home.

Serve with a good crusty bread
